Claudio Irrera
Bassist. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1960. In 1984 began his career as a professional musician in Mexico City, working as a guitarist, keyboardist and bassist in various groups, doing cultural presentations all over the country.
His music path has traversed through various genres, such as: folk, afro-antillean, samba, rock, blues, tango and flamenco inevitably leading to jazz music.
Fundamentally self-taught, he has had great teachers such as Abraham Laboriel, Popo Sánchez, Niccole Henry, Margie Bermejo, Enrique Nery, Agustín Bernal and Eugene Toussaint.
In 2010 he founded the jazz trio Jazzsession, in 2012 the blues quartet NLP La Banda and the duet JazZTán. Since 2003 he has been working with the theater company Sabandijas de Palacio where his work ranges from improvisation to composition.
